This piece is designed by the french artist, Michele Sonner who has named her collection Michou. The concept of her collections is to blend modern designs with an ancient art form learned from the Balinese artisans.
According to the artist, this collection is called "Tropical Geometrics". Bold geometry and clean lines along with sharp-edged square and octagonal gems are the elements that form this collection. Reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright stained glass windows, these pieces feature concise linear positioning, brilliant simplicity of color and shape, and an enduring design edge, resulting in everlasting classic jewelry.
Building on a foundation of repeating rectangles and squares in a stair-step configuration, the keen gems appear to be resting on miniature Mayan temples. The rules of geometry are applied further askew jewel placement, shifting stones away from obvious center and creating smooth and unique silhouettes.
In this collection there is the timeless tropical palette of peridot, amethyst and blue topaz encased in 14K vermeil surrounded by sterling silver.
There is a size 7 and 8 available.
