This tote bag has a zippered or snap closure. I found it when I went to Laos. It is made by a Hmong artisan using a traditional method of juxtaposing classic textile patterns with scraps of leftover fabric.
Laos is the landlocked country located next to Vietnam and Thailand in Southeast Asia. The Hmong in Laos are mostly poor, rural farmers, but the incredible hand-stitched handicrafts they create are bought up quickly at local markets, giving them crucial funds to improve their standard of living. If you purchase this bag you can feel secure in knowing that you have helped a Laos artisan support their family.
These bags are all hand stitched and use recycled and new materials. Each bag is different and completely unique. You will not be disappointed.
