Gleaming brass singing bowl comes with wooden singing stick and
stand. Tibetan Buddhists use singing bowls like this for meditation and
prayer. To make the bowl sing, first tap it. Hold the stick upright
against the bowl and move it slowly around the outside, keeping firm
contact with the surface. The bowl will start to resonate. Artisans at
the New SADLE workshop in Patan, Lalitpur, Nepal, create this singing
bowl. First, they melt a mixture of metals and pour it into a mold.
After the bowl cools for one hour, they grind the bowl to make it shine.
They then polish the bowl to complete the process.
