In Laos, the Hmong are mostly poor, rural farmers, but the incredible hand-stitched handicrafts they create are bought up quickly at local markets, providing them with crucial income to improve their living standards. Each pair of slippers you buy helps an artisan in Laos support their family.
Please be aware that these slippers have stitching imperfections and lumpy stuffing that should not be considered flaws, but rather testament to the unique nature of their creation, as for example, they were likely stuffed using spare materials the artisan had on hand.
